Tate graduated with a first class degree in Veterinary Medical Science, followed by a degree in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nottingham. She is currently working towards the BSAVA Certificate in Ophthalmology.

Before joining Eye Vet, Tate worked in a busy 24 hour veterinary hospital, where she developed a strong interest in emergency care and adnexal (eyelid) surgery.

Outside of work, she enjoys CrossFit and learning Japanese. She also cares for Sushi, her cat, who she rescued and treated after being found as a stray with two broken legs.
