Examination of the whole animal and palpation of the head.

Close up examination of the eye with a powerful microscope -
using a Slit lamp biomicroscopy. This may involve staining the surface of the eye. -
A general look at the back of the eye. (Indirect ophthalmoscopy).

A more detailed look at the back of the eye (direct ophthalmoscopy).

Measuring the pressure of the eye -
after application of local anaesthetic with a Tonopen. -
And back home again !!
